Setting the Number of Emails Viewed on an iPhone
By C. Taylor
By default, the iPhone 5 only stores the most recent 50 emails in your mail account and displays them in list format. This means you are only able to view the last 50 emails, and new emails can displace important, old emails. To protect these older emails, consider increasing the number of emails the iPhone stores. Apple enables you to keep up to 1,000 emails at a time.
Step 1
Tap "Settings" from the iPhone's Home screen.
Step 2
Tap "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" and then "Show" in the Mail section.
Step 3
Tap the number of messages you want displayed. The iPhone 5 enables you to select 50, 100, 200, 500 or 1,000 recent messages.
