How to Set Up Wireless Printing With Bonjour

by Shawn Farner

Bonjour is a plug-and-play communications system for computer peripherals developed by Apple. This system, available on both Macs and PCs, allows you to quickly locate a device on your network, such as a printer, and configure it to work with your system. If you're looking to connect wirelessly to a printer on your network using Bonjour, you can do so in just a few steps.

Check to make sure your printer supports wireless printing. Consult the user's manual if you aren't sure.

Visit the Apple website and download Bonjour for Windows (see Resources). Save the file to your desktop.

Double-click on the downloaded file and follow the installation wizard to install Bonjour.

Click "Start" > "All Programs" and locate the "Bonjour" folder. Hover over it and choose "Add Printer."

Choose your printer from the list of available devices and click "Install." Bonjour will now install the printer on your PC, allowing you to print wirelessly.
