How to Set Up an Exchange Email on Your iPad

The Apple iPad is a beneficial tool for business people. It is bigger then a smartphone and allows them to check office email accounts and do some work away from their desks. Microsoft Exchange is an email sever used by many companies. Individuals can sync an Exchange email to the iPad to retrieve emails, update calendar events and access contacts list directly from the iPad.

Turn the iPad on and tap on the settings icon.

Tap on the "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" icon and tap "add account" under the "Accounts" tab.

Tap on the Microsoft Exchange icon. This will bring up a pop-up screen allow ing you to input the Exchange email information.

Input your Exchange email address, username and password. You can also give a description to the email to help you distinguish it from other email accounts. Tap on the "Next" button when you have finished.

Input the Exchange server information in the blank tab where it says "Server" and tap "Next" when you have finished.

Click "On" the features you want to sync with on your iPad. You can sync your email, contacts and calendars to the iPad. Tap the "Save" button in the upper right corner. This will return you to the Accounts screen and the Exchange email will be visible.

Press the "Home" button for the iPad home screen and tap on the email icon. The Exchange email will start to sync with the iPad and download the email from the Exchange server to the iPad.
