How to Set Up Comcast As My Homepage

Setting Comcast as your homepage provides a quick way to check your voicemail.

Comcast offers a portal on its website, providing users with news, weather and a search bar. For subscribers to Comcast services, the site also features the ability to check email and voicemail, and even watch some TV shows. If you use the features on Comcast's site frequently, setting it as your homepage allows easy access, automatically loading the page each time you start your Web browser. The process varies slightly depending on your Web browser, but only takes moments to perform.

Microsoft Internet Explorer

Step 1

Click the "Start" button and select "Internet Explorer," or double-click the "Internet Explorer" icon on your desktop to open a new Web browser window.

Step 2

Type "www.comcast.net" in the address bar and press "Enter." Wait while Comcast's Web page loads.

Step 3

Click on the arrow to the right of the "Home" button, which appears as an icon of a house. Press "Add or Change Home Page" on the drop-down menu.

Step 4

Click "Use this webpage as your only home page," then click "Yes" to finish.

Mozilla Firefox

Step 1

Press the "Start" button, then click on "Mozilla Firefox" or double-click the "Mozilla Firefox" icon on your desktop.

Step 2

Open the "Tools" menu and click "Options."

Step 3

Click on the "General" tab and type "www.comcast.net" in the "Home Page" text box.

Step 4

Press "OK" to save the settings.

Safari

Step 1

Double-click the "Safari" icon on your desktop, or click "Safari" on the dock if using a Macintosh.

Step 2

Type "www.comcast.net" into the address bar and press "Enter" to load Comcast's page.

Step 3

Open the "Safari" menu and click "Preferences."

Step 4

Click on the "General" tab, then press the "Set to Current Page" button under the "Home Page" field to set your new homepage.

Step 5

Close the window to save the change.

Chrome

Step 1

Double-click the "Google Chrome" icon on your desktop, or press the "Start" button and click "Google Chrome" to launch a Web browser.

Step 2

Click the icon of a wrench on the toolbar and click on "Options" or "Preferences," whichever appears on your system.

Step 3

Click the "Basics" tab and select the "Open this page" option.

Step 4

Type "www.comcast.net" into the text box. Press "OK" to close the preferences window and save the setting.
