How to Set Display Settings for a Vaio Laptop
By Stephen Lilley
If you want to set display settings for the built-in monitor on your Sony Vaio laptop computer, you'll have to use the native tools inside the Windows operating system designed for this task. These native tools will let you change your screen resolution as well as your orientation whenever you'd like. You will be able to access these tools via your Sony Vaio laptop computer's desktop.
Right-click on your Sony Vaio laptop computer's desktop.
Click "Screen Resolution."
Click "Resolution." Use the vertical sliding bar that appears to select a resolution for your Sony Vaio's monitor. Once you select a new resolution, your monitor will automatically switch to it. Click "Yes" to keep your new resolution or click "No" to revert to your original one and try a selection again.
Click "Orientation" to change the direction of the image on your Sony Vaio laptop computer monitor. You can choose between "landscape" (which is the normal viewing mode for computers), "portrait" or "flipped" versions of the two aforementioned orientations that produce mirror images of their non-flipped versions.
Click "Apply" to set your display settings for your Sony Vaio laptop computer.
