How to Send Photos in Hotmail (5 Steps)
By Leonardo R. Grabkowski
Attaching photos to an email message lets you share your favorite pictures with friends and family. Hotmail accounts have limitations regarding file-attachment sizes, but you can send most photos with no problems. Initially, it appears there is no "Browse" or "Attach" toolbar to attach photos in Hotmail; however, the toolbar is available, it's simply hidden by default. Make sure the recipient is expecting photos. Photo attachments tend to be large, which can overwhelm email accounts with small storage limits.
Step 1
Log-in to your Hotmail account. Click "New" along the top-navigation bar to begin composing a new message. Type the recipient's email address and write your message.
Step 2
Click "Attach" on the bar above the message (it's right next to "Send"). This opens the Hotmail photo-upload tool beneath the subject line.
Step 3
Click "Browse" to find the photo(s) you want to attach. Click on the photo and select "Open." You cannot select multiple photos at once.
Step 4
Select "Browse" again to upload another photo, if desired. After uploading the photos, look above the subject line to find the attachment-file size. A maximum of 10MB can be attached to each message. If your uploaded photos exceed this, you cannot send the message.
Step 5
Click the "X" in the corner of the attachment to delete photos, if necessary. Click "Send" to send the photos to the recipient.

Tips
- If your photos are too large, consider re-sizing them (see Resources). If you cannot fit all the photos into one message, create a new message immediately after sending the first one. Attach the remaining photos.
