How to Send Certain Numbers to Voice Mail Automatically

Repeated calls from someone you're avoiding may make you wish you could send those calls straight to voice mail. Most phones don't allow you to do so. The phones that do often require you to send all calls straight to voice mail. Phones with Google's Android operating system do let you send a specific caller to voice mail without the phone ringing.

Step 1

Click the phone icon to open the calling menu.

Step 2

Click "Contacts."

Step 3

Tap the name of the contact you wish to block.

Step 4

Press the "Menu" key and tap "Edit."

Step 5

Tap "Additional info" and check the box labeled "Send straight to voice mail?"

Step 6

Tap "Save."
