How to Send a Flyer in Facebook
By Nicole Vulcan
Using social media sites such as Facebook can really help get the word out about events or special happenings at your place of business. If you've created a great flyer that you want to share with the world, it's quite simple to post it to your Facebook profile or page. So long as you make sure the flyer is in a format that Facebook will easily recognize, you should be able to easily post it.
Step 1
Open the flyer in the program where it was created. From the "File" menu, select "Export." From the choices given, select "Save as Image File" or a similar function to save the flyer as a .jpg or .gif image file. Once it's saved, be sure the image is less than 1 gigabyte in size or Facebook will not allow you to upload it.
Step 2
Log in to your Facebook profile on your computer by entering your username and password. If you want to send the flyer from a Facebook business page, navigate to that page after login.
Step 3
Click on the "Photo" icon above the "What's on your mind?" or "What's happening?" box. Select "Upload a Photo from your drive."
Step 4
Select the flyer image file from the files and folders on your computer, then click "Open."
Step 5
Wait for the popup status box to indicate that the photo is uploaded, then key in a status update to describe the flyer in the "What's on your mind?" box. Click "Share" to send the update and flyer out to the world.
Tips
- Be sure your popup blocker is disabled for this process, as the upload status box will appear as a popup.
