How to Send an Email to People in Different Countries
By Julius Vandersteen
If you are accustomed to composing and sending email messages mostly to people who live near you or who are all in the same country, you might be curious about whether you need to take any special steps to send email to people in different countries. Email works the same no matter where you are in the world, because the Internet relies on international standards for sending messages. You send an email to people in different countries using the same procedure you use to send an email to your neighbor, or a colleague in the next city, as long as you know the correct email address.
Launch your email application on your computer.
Create a new email message.
Type your recipient's email address in the "To" field.
Type a subject in the "Subject" field, such as, "How are you enjoying things abroad?"
Type the text of your email in the message window.
Click the "Send" command to send your email message.
