How to See My Password Once I'm Logged In to Facebook

Facebook does not allow a user to view his password, even when he is logged in. This is a security measure designed to avoid situations such as a user on a public computer forgetting to log out and somebody else being able to retrieve the password. If you can't remember your password but can still log in, it is because your browser has stored the password. Depending on the browser you're using, you can sometimes retrieve passwords such as those for Facebook.
Facebook Options
If you do not know your Facebook password, you can't recover it from Facebook itself. You also cannot change your password, since you must retype your existing password to change it. Your only option with Facebook itself is to log out, then click on the "Forgot your password? option" on the login page. This will allow you to reset the password through an email link; you can then log back in and change your password.
Google Chrome
The Chrome browser offers to store passwords so that you don't have to type them in every time. To retrieve a password stored this way, type "chrome://settings/passwords" into the address bar and press "Enter." You'll then see a list of saved passwords. Find the entry for Facebook (you can use the search box at the top of the list if you have a lot of passwords), click on the string of dots, then click "Show" to see the stored password.
Mozilla Firefox
Firefox also lets you store passwords. To retrieve a password, click the "Firefox" button and select "Option," then select "Security Panel," then click on "Saved Passwords." You'll see a list of sites for which you have saved a password. Click on "Show Passwords" to see the saved passwords.
Microsoft Internet Explorer
Internet Explorer itself does not allow you to view stored passwords. If you are using Windows 7 or earlier, you cannot view your saved Facebook password and will need to reset it if you have forgotten it and want to log in to your account on another computer. If you are using Windows 8, the system's Credential Manager feature lets you view stored passwords. To do so, open the Control Panel and open Credential Manager, then click on "Web Credentials." You'll see a list of sites for which a password has been stored and can click on "Show" next to the string of dots to reveal the password. You will be asked to retype your Windows login details before the password is revealed.
