How to Scan Using an HP 1350 Printer
By Johnathan Cronk
Hewlett Packard offers a wide range of personal and business products, including the HP PSC 1350 All-in-One printer. The HP 1350 allows users to scan, copy, print and fax using one unit instead of four. The HP 1350 is compact enough for personal use yet versatile enough for small business use. It's important to know how to use all of the functions on the HP 1350 to ensure maximum quality. The scanner within the HP 1350 allows users to scan documents, photos and other items onto the computer.
Press the power button on the HP 1350 printer. Allow the unit to power on; when ready, the power button will stop blinking and be steady.
Open the scanner lid by lifting straight up. Load the original document or item to be scanned face down on the scanner glass. Close the scanner lid.
Click "Start" then "All Programs," locate the HP folder and select "HP Director." Allow the program to load completely before starting the scan.
Press the "Scan" button on the HP 1350 unit. This will initiate the scanner and being scanning the item. A preview will show on the computer screen as the item scans. When finished, click "Accept." The item has now been scanned and saved in the destination folder you specified when the HP 1350 was installed.
