How to Save Your Verizon Phone Contacts in Your Computer

Verizon Wireless customers have the option of saving their contacts using a program called Backup Assistant. Using Backup Assistant saves your contacts from your Verizon Wireless cell phone onto your Verizon Wireless online account. When you purchase a new phone from Verizon Wireless, you can automatically transfer your contacts from your computer to your new phone without having to manually input each name and number.

Step 1

Locate the Backup Assistant application on your Verizon Wireless cell phone. If you do not have the application on your phone’s menu, you can download it from your phone’s “Get it Now” application. Instructions for the Get it Now application are provided on the Verizon Wireless website for your specific phone.

Step 2

Open your Backup Assistant on your phone and click “Backup Now.” Your contacts are automatically backed up to your Verizon Wireless account when you press that button.

Step 3

View and edit your contacts on your computer by logging into your Verizon Wireless account and clicking on the “Backup Assistant” link on your account overview page.
