Samsung Home Theater System Remote Set Instructions
By Andrew Tennyson
Setting up your Samsung home theater system remote to control your television eliminates the need for two remotes. To make this happen, you need to synchronize the two devices using the TV's remote code. Remote codes differ depending on the manufacturer of the TV. Once the TV and home theater system are set to work together via one remote, you can use the Power, Channel, Volume and numeric keypad buttons on the Samsung home theater's remote to control the TV.
Step 1
Press the "Mode" button on the home theater remote until the "TV" indicator flashes.
Step 2
Press the "Power" button on the TV to turn it on.
Step 3
Press and hold the "Power" button on the remote while pointing it at the TV.
Step 4
Enter your TV's unique remote code using the remote control's keypad while continuing to hold down the "Power" button. Consult your TV's documentation to obtain its remote code. If documentation is not available, see the Resources for a link that lists general television remote codes by manufacturer.
Step 5
Release the "Power" button and then press it again to verify that it is set up to control your TV.
