Checking your voice mail is important when you are on the go and want to stay in touch with friends, family or business contacts. You might be concerned that checking for messages will be difficult if you don't have your iPhone with you. Fortunately, you can call your iPhone's voice mail system and retrieve your messages from any landline phone. The voice mail systems for both AT&T and Verizon Wireless are designed so that customers can conveniently check for messages from anywhere, at any time of the day or night, using any phone.

Pick up the receiver of the landline phone and dial your mobile phone number.

Press the "Star" or "Pound" key on the landline phone's dial pad to interrupt the greeting message. AT&T customers should press the "Star" button, while Verizon customers should press "Pound."

Enter the four-digit personal identification number (PIN) for your voice mail account on the landline phone's keypad.

Press "4" on the keypad to access the "Personal Options" menu if your first voice mail message doesn't begin playing automatically. Listen to the menu options and press the appropriate key to retrieve and play your messages.
