by Tyran DeWalt

If you ever accidentally delete your Internet Explorer desktop icon, you can restore it with a few simple steps. One of the simplest ways to restore an Internet Explorer shortcut is to make a copy from an existing Internet Explorer icon. There are Internet Explorer icons in several locations of your computer system, such as under the programs list under Start menu and in Windows Explorer.

Click the Start menu and click "Computer" or "My Computer."

Navigate the following folder path to locate "iexplore.exe:"

C >> Program Files >> Internet Explorer.

Right click the "iexplore.exe" file. Point to "Send to" and click "Desktop (create shortcut)." Use this method to send the shortcut to other areas of your system.
