Restarting a Sprint LG Android device provides a number of benefits, the most obvious being to get the device working again if it has frozen up. The restarting process also clears the device's working memory, making the device run better once it comes back up. There are a few ways to restart an LG Android, with the best depending on your situation. A quick power cycle is the best option, but if your device is not functioning correctly you can also remove and replace the battery. Finally, a hard reset will restart the device and correct almost any possible software issues, but it will also erase anything you had on the device.
Press and hold the "Power" button for two seconds.
Tap "Power Off" when a menu appears on the screen, then tap "OK"
Wait until the screen has been completely blank for two seconds, then hold down the "Power" button to restart the device.
Turn your Sprint LG phone over and place your fingernail in the small cutout at the top of the back cover. Lift up to remove the back cover.
Place your finger in the notch directly above the battery, then lift up to remove the battery.
Wait two seconds, then without changing the alignment of the battery, slide the side that was opposite of the notch into the battery cavity. Push down on the battery to reseat it in the deivce.
Place the bottom of the battery cover over the bottom of the device, then push down to lock the battery cover in place.
Press and hold the "Power" button to restart the device.
Remove and replace the battery, but don't press the "Power" button just yet.
Press and hold the "Home" and "Volume Down" keys, then press the "Power" button. Continue to hold all three buttons until a menu appears on the screen.
Press the "Volume Down" button to scroll down through the menu until you are highlighting "wipe date/factory reset." Press "Menu" to select this option.
Press "Menu" again to confirm the wipe.
