Sony WEGA televisions warn you of impending projector lamp failure before a blown-out bulb has the chance to ruin your movie night. However, on-screen alerts and the blinking LED light on the front of the television persist even after you replace the light, and you must manually reset the lamp notification function to turn these notifications off.

Step 1

Press the "Menu" button on the remote, and then select "Settings," followed by "Setup," and then "Lamp Replacement." This last option is at the bottom of the menu and may not be visible on some models unless you scroll down to the second page.

Step 2

Select "Yes" to confirm that you've replaced the bulb, and then press the "Enter" button to reset the lamp indicator.

Step 3

Press the "Menu" button to return to the key to exit the projector's menu system.
