How to Reset a PT-52LCX66 Hour Meter
By Julius Vandersteen
The PT-52LCX66 is a multimedia projection HDTV made by Panasonic. It has a 52-inch, 16:9 aspect ratio display and two built-in speakers. The display is lit by a 100-watt, high-intensity discharge (HID) lamp that will eventually burn out and must be replaced. The lamp unit detects when it is approaching the end of its life, and an indicator will display the message, "The lamp needs to be replaced, and the lamp hour meter needs to be reset." After you replace the lamp, you can easily reset the lamp hour meter.
Plug the PT-52LCX66's power cord into a grounded wall outlet.
Press "Power" on the PT-52LCX66.
Press "Vol-" on the PT-52LCX66 and keep holding it.
Press "0" on the PT-52LCX66's remote control while still holding the "Vol-" button and wait for more than five seconds. The lamp hour meter will reset itself, and a message will appear on the screen reading, "Lamp time was reset to 0."
