Sprint is one of the largest mobile phone carriers in the world. The company has served more than 48 million customers with many more making their switch to Sprint every day. At times, a Sprint user can forget the password needed to unlock certain features. Therefore, understanding how to reset the password on your Sprint phone will come in handy when you are recycling your phone or if you forget the password to an essential feature, like voicemail.

Contact Sprint to have your password reset if you have accidentally locked yourself out of your cell phone. The number to contact Sprint is 888-211-4727. You can also dial *2 from your mobile phone to be transferred directly to Sprint's customer service department.

To change your voicemail password, you have the option to call Sprint or change it online. If you have registered for an account with Sprint on www.sprint.com/mynextel, simply log in to your account. Locate the "subscribers" tab on the home page. Click the tab and scroll to the section "reset password." You will have the option to reset your voicemail password from there.

Sprint will issue you a temporary password. The password consists of the last seven digits of your cell phone. Call your voicemail and follow the prompts to change your password. Insert the seven digits, then follow the prompts to enter your new password. Follow the prompts until you hear the confirmation message.
