A Linksys wireless range extender is used with wireless Internet equipment such as computers and wireless routers. Extenders are used to expand the range of the wireless network. If you've noticed that your wireless extender isn't working as it once did, you can reset it back to its factory default settings. Resetting your Linksys wireless range extender back to it's default factory is an easy task that can be done in literally 10 seconds.

Step 1

Go to your Linksys range extender and make sure it is plugged into the wall.

Step 2

Locate the "Reset" button on the side of the range extender. This button is located next to the "Auto-Configuration" button.

Step 3

Press and hold the "Reset" button down for 10 seconds.

Release the button to allow the extender to reset back to factory settings.
