How to Reset an LG LCD Monitor
By Tyson Cliffton
An LG LCD monitor that's acting up can make it difficult to handle business on your computer. Problems with LG LCD monitors can include the display lagging, the picture shaking or lines or bars appearing on the screen. Try resolving these issues to get your computer back up and running by restoring the monitor to its factory settings, which can be done in a few quick clicks.
Step 1
Press the "Menu" button on the side of your LG LCD computer monitor to open the menu on the screen.
Step 2
Click the "Down" Programme button to highlight the Option icon, which features a suitcase and a wrench on it. Click "OK."
Step 3
Click the "Down" Programme button to highlight "Factory Reset." Click "OK." If you have the monitor set up to prompt you for a passcode when you try to change the system settings, enter the passcode associated with your monitor and then click "OK." A progress bar appears on the screen and then the monitor reboots. Upon successfully rebooting, the factory reset for the LG LCD monitor is complete.

- Restoring your LG LCD monitor reverts all of your settings on the monitor to the default, so you'll need to go through the monitor's settings again and change those back to what they previously were.
