How to Reset Your Frontier IP Address (4 Steps)
By Garrett Genet
Resetting your Frontier Internet Protocol address is straightforward. Every time your DSL modem is rebooted, so is your IP address. Resetting your hardware helps clear its memory and will typically fix common connectivity issues. Most of the time the modem will have a new IP address assigned to it after rebooting, unless you've paid Frontier to have a static IP address. Static IP addresses are common for businesses.
Step 1
Unplug your DSL modem from its power source.
Step 2
Unplug your router from its power source.
Step 3
Plug your modem back in.
Step 4
Plug your router back in. It should take your network a minute or two to fully configure itself. Your IP address should now be reset.
