How to Report SPAM to AOL

AOL has an anti-SPAM system in place, but spam e-mails can still enter your inbox. Some spam messages contain phishing schemes, viruses and other threats to your computer and the security of your personal information. AOL should be notified whenever you receive this type of spam message.

Report Spam from AOL 8.0 or higher:

Select the "Read" icon on the AOL toobar.

Click on the e-mail you wish to report.

Click the "Report Spam" button.

Report Spam from AOL 7.0:

Click the "Read" icon on the AOL toobar. Select the e-mail you wish to report.

Click on the "Notify AOL" button. Enter any details in the text box.

Click the "Send Report" button.

Report Spam from AOL 6.0 or AOL on the web:

Click the "Read" icon on the AOL toobar. Double-click the e-mail you wish to report.

Click the "Forward" button. Type the screen name "TOSReports" into the "To:" text box.

Click the "Send" button.

Warning

  • close Never open any files attached to a spam email. They could contain viruses and other threats to your computer.
