How to Remove Solidworks Registry Files
By Kenneth Coppens
Founded in 1993, SolidWorks produces computer software primarily for the use of businesses. Known for the easy-to-use 3D programs, SolidWorks allows users to compile, manage and share data. It may be necessary to remove the software at times, most often for an upgrade or simply because the software is no longer needed. Registry files may be left behind after SolidWorks is uninstalled, so they must be removed manually.
Type "regedit" in the search bar on the Start menu. Click the "regedit" icon to open the Registry Editor.
Click the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" folder, then "Software" and "SolidWorks." Highlight the file titled "SolidWorks" and hit "Delete."
Return to the "Software" folder. Highlight and delete the files titled "Bluebeam Software," "DesignSource," "GSSL," "Moldflow," SolidWorks BackOffice" and "SRAC."
Close the Registry Editor.
