How to Remove the Back of a Nokia Flip Cell Phone
By Jesse Adams
Removing the back of a Nokia flip cell phone can be a bit tricky if you have not done it before. Nokia places the SIM card slot under the battery, so if you need to install, replace or remove your SIM card, you will have to remove the back of the cell phone. You also need to remove the back of the phone in order to replace your battery.
Step 1
Place the phone on a flat surface with the back of the phone facing up toward you.
Step 2
Position the phone vertically, so that the antenna is pointing directly away from you and the bottom of the phone is pointing toward you.
Step 3
Find the seam where the battery cover meets the body of the phone. Depending on the model of your flip phone, this should be directly under the Nokia logo.
Step 4
Locate the release button at the bottom middle of the battery cover and hold it down firmly with one finger. If your Nokia flip cell phone does not have a release button, go to the next step.
Step 5
Place a finger or two slightly below the seam you located in Step 3.
Step 6
Slide off the cover by firmly pulling it toward you with your fingers.
Warnings
- Be very careful when removing the back of the cell phone, as the prongs that keep the cover attached to the body may break off with rough movements.
