By Amanda Dyar
Certain connections on your computer are blocked by programs for security. You can remove Internet filters on your computer to remove blocking. Unblock certain connections to allow the computer access to the information on the network. Check your computer firewall to add exceptions to previously blocked connections.
Open your computer firewall to unblock previous connections. Click on the "Start menu" of your computer and select "Control Panel." Highlight the Security tab and select "Allow a program through Windows Firewall." Check the connection in the "Exception" box to unblock.
Open your Internet Explorer browser. Select the "Tools" icon and choose "Internet options." Scroll down to the Security tab and right-click the "Restricted sites." Highlight the filters you want to unblock and select "Remove." Finish by clicking "OK" to save the new settings.
Restart your computer to apply the new settings. Test the Internet connections to see if they are unblocked. Repeat the previous steps to unblock additional Internet connections.
