by T.M. Wit

The Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool (MRT) is the Windows native option for deleting viruses and malware. The MRT, which is updated monthly, will scan your computer for malware and remove it. If you suspect you have Hijack Regedit malware on your system, you should run the MRT immediately to protect your computer. Manually running the Windows MRT will take you about a half hour to complete, depending on the speed of your computer.

Click on the "Start" button then click on the "Run" icon.

Type in "MRT" at the command prompt then press "OK."

Click "Next" and then check the "Full Scan" option.

Click "Next" to begin the scan.

Click "Remove" when the Hijack Regedit malware is detected.
