How to Remove an AOL Active Virus

AOL Active Virus Shield is an anti-virus software available for a free download by AOL. It includes standard features of many other anti-virus packages such as updated virus definitions, periodic system scan for viruses, firewall and content monitoring. It also provides filtering of your Internet traffic, making sure the viruses trying to enter your system are rejected before the intervention. AOL Active Virus Shield is a great tool for your PC protection, but if you are not satisfied with the software, you can remove it.
Step 1
Click on the "Start" menu, then click on "Control Panel."
Step 2
Click on "Add/Remove," then click on "AOL Active Virus Shield."
Step 3
Click "Uninstall." Restart your computer after the uninstall has been completed.
