How to Reinstall Windows Mail in Vista
By Diana Braun
Windows Mail is a free email client from Microsoft that comes preinstalled with computers running Vista. Users can send, receive and manage emails and contacts through the Windows Mail interface. Software conflicts may cause Windows Mail files to go missing or become corrupt. If this happens, the application may fail to launch. To repair Windows Mail, reinstall the program on Windows Vista.
Download Windows Live Mail from Microsoft. Click the "Download now" button.
Click "Save File" when prompted to save the "wlsetup-web.exe" file to your desktop.
Double-click the "wlsetup-web.exe" file on the desktop to begin installation.
Follow the onscreen prompts of the Windows Mail installation wizard.
Click "Finish" when prompted during the completion of the installation.
Restart your computer.
Click "Start" from the lower-left of your screen. Click "All Programs" and then click "Windows Mail" to launch the program.
