The SanDisk Cruzer series of flash drives come pre-installed with the U3 Launchpad. The U3 Launchpad provides support for installing applications directly to the flash drive including security and organizational software. If the Launchpad is uninstalled or corrupt, you can return the drive to its original factory settings by reinstalling the Launchpad. The Launchpad installation file is available from the SanDisk website.

Step 1

Click the "Internet Explorer" icon on your task bar. Open the Install U3 Launchpad SanDisk website. Click the "Download" link and save the U3 Launchpad Installer to your computer.

Step 2

Insert the SanDisk Cruzer in an open USB port on your computer.

Step 3

Double-click the U3 Launchpad Installer to open it. Click "Next."

Step 4

Click the "Accept" radio button and click "Next."

Step 5

Click the "Yes" radio button to automatically backup all files on the drive and restore them after reinstalling the U3 Launchpad. Click the "No" radio button to permanently erase all remaining data on the drive.

Step 6

Click "Next" twice to begin the installation. Click "Finish" when the installation is finished.
