Toshiba collaborated with Corel in order to provide the DVD MovieFactory application on select Toshiba computers. This software comes preinstalled on the laptop's drive and is located in your "Program Files" folder. In some cases, a problem can occur that may require you to reinstall the application. Unfortunately, there is no direct resource to download the proprietary version of the application from either Toshiba or Corel resources. The good news is you already have the installer for this application located within the recovery image.

Step 1

Press the "Windows" and "R" keys simultaneously.

Step 2

Type "Appwiz.cpl" in your Run box and click "OK."

Step 3

Right-click "Corel DVD MovieFactory" and click "Uninstall." Click the "Yes" button when asked to confirm.

Step 4

Restart your computer when removal has completed.

Step 5

Click "Start" and click "All Programs."

Step 6

Open the "My Toshiba Folder" and click "Recovery."

Step 7

Click to open the "Toshiba Apps Installer." Allow a few moments for it to load.

Step 8

Click the "Next" button on the Welcome screen. This loads a list of applications that came with your Toshiba laptop.

Click to highlight "Corel DVD MovieFactory" and click "Install." Follow the onscreen instructions to walk through the installation. Reboot your computer when it completes.
