by Matthew Fortuna

Microsoft Outlook is one of the most widely used email programs in the world. It comes standard with all Microsoft programs and most Windows programs. While Microsoft is useful in emailing and archiving contacts and messages, it can be devastating if the program or your computer crashes. To bypass this problem, contacts can be easily backed up in Outlook. Then the recovery process can be completed within minutes.

Select the "File" option on your Microsoft Outlook program.

Click "Import and Export" in the "File" menu and click "Import from another program."

Select "Next" in the next window and click the option next to "Personal Folder File" and click "Next."

Click "Browse" and search your computer for the saved backup of your contacts and click "Next" once again.

Click "Finish" to complete the process and your contacts will be restored to your Outlook.
