How to Recover Deleted Files From a CD-RW
By Kefa Olang
If you have ever accidentally deleted information you needed from a CD-RW disc, then you know how frustrating it is trying to get it back. CD-RW discs are rewritable discs, meaning you can upload, and save, delete and make changes to files multiple times. If you have deleted some files, you can trace and recover them with a data recovery program. These programs use a wizard system to make it easy to recover files from your CD-RW disc.
Download DiskInternals CD & DVD Recovery (See resource link below). Follow the setup and installation instructions to install it on your computer.
Insert your CD-RW disc into the CD-RW ROM on your computer, then double click "DiskInternals CD & DVD Recovery" on your desktop, or the location you saved it to launch your program.
Press the "Recover" button to begin searching for deleted files on your CD-RW disc. When the search is complete, a seperate window will show you the deleted files that can be recovered.
Select the files and folders that you want to recover, then press the "Recover" button.

Tips
- There are many other CD-RW recovery programs such as inDisc Recovery, or IsoBuster. All of these programs are generally similar in their functions, but research the programs if you prefer to use a different one.
