How to Put Songs on a Philips GoGear MP3
By Christina Shaffer
The Philips GoGear MP3 allows you to sync hundreds of your favorite songs from your PC and listen to them on-the-go. Many GoGear models are bundled with the Philips Songbird software for transferring music and videos to the device. After you import your music or rip an album to your Songbird music library, you can sync them directly to the GoGear by using the drag-and-drop method. Prior to syncing the files, however, make sure they are in a format that is supported by your player’s model, such as MP3 or WAV.
Step 1
Connect the Philips GoGear to the computer by using the device’s USB cable.
Step 2
Launch Philips Songbird.
Step 3
Add music to your Songbird music library by clicking the “File” tab and selecting the “Import Media” option. Select the folder that contains the songs you want to sync to the device, such as My Music, and click “OK.”
Step 4
Click “Music” in the Library pane to view all of the songs you imported.
Step 5
Select the songs you want to sync to the device. To select multiple tracks, hold the “Ctrl” button on the keyboard and click each song with the mouse.
Step 6
Click and drag the highlighted songs to the Philips GoGear icon in the Library pane to automatically sync the files to the device.
