How to Put Music on a Samsung Double Flip Phoneby Stephen A. Powell
The Samsung Double Flip (SCH-U740) is a multimedia-capable cell phone that affords you the luxury of leaving an additional music player behind, because you can enjoy much of your collection from the handset. Storing music on the Samsung Double Flip requires the installation of a microSD memory card. Once inserted, you may put music onto the Samsung Double Flip through a direct USB sideload transfer as you would with an external hard drive.
Insert a microSD memory card into the slot on the right side of the Samsung Double Flip phone. Make sure the microSD card's gold pins are facing upward.
Insert one end of the Samsung Double Flip phone's USB adapter into the handset. Insert the other end of the adapter into a USB port on the computer.
Push the "Menu/OK" button. Scroll to the "Tools" menu. Push the "Menu/OK" button.
Scroll to "Mass Storage." Push the "Menu/OK" button.
Scroll to "Connect to PC." Push the "Menu/OK" button. Doing so allows your computer to recognize the Samsung Double Flip phone as a connected device.
Double-click the Samsung Double Flip phone's device icon from your computer's file manager, such as Finder or Windows Explorer. Doing so opens its root folder.
Create a "Music" folder if one does not already exist. Transferring files to the music folder alleviates future strain on the Samsung Double Flip phone memory card's root directory.
Open the folder containing the music you wish to put onto the Samsung Double Flip phone in a separate file manager window.
Drag the music files or folders from their window into the Samsung Double Flip phone memory card's music folder. Doing so puts copies of the music onto the Samsung Double Flip phone.
Push the left soft key on the Samsung Double Flip phone. Scroll to "Yes" and push the "Menu/OK" button to disconnect the Samsung Double Flip phone from your computer. Remove the USB adapter from both the Samsung Double Flip phone and computer.
