How to Put Music on a Sandisk SD Card
By Angela M. Wheeland
A Sandisk SD card is a removable storage device used to transfer data between computers, cellular phones, digital cameras and a variety of other devices. Putting music on a SanDisk SD Card requires you to physically connect the card to your computer using an SD card reader. After the card is connected to your computer, you can view and edit the card's files and transfer music using the drag-and-drop method.
Step 1
Place the SanDisk SD card in your computer's SD card adapter slot. Your computer should detect the card automatically and display the Autoplay menu. If your computer does not detect the SanDisk SD card, click "Start," "Computer" and then click the appropriate drive letter that represents the card.
Step 2
Click the "Open Folder to View Files" link at the bottom of the Autoplay menu. The SanDisk SD storage window opens and displays the contents of the card.
Step 3
Open the folder containing the music files. Drag and drop each music file to the SD card storage window. The song's icon will appear in the SD card storage window to indicate the file transfer is complete.

Tips
- If your computer does not have an SD card adapter slot, you must purchase an SD card adapter. You can obtain a card adapter from most computer, office supply or superstore. SD card adapters connect to your computer by means of a USB port.
- Be aware of the amount of data your SanDisk SD card can hold. This prevents complications during the transfer.
