How to Program Speed Dial
By Richard Schupp
Speed dial is a handy function to have set up on any telephone, especially if you have a group of people who you call often. Speed dial can be set up on both your home telephone and your mobile phone. By setting up speed dial, you can easily call your contacts by pressing just one button instead of dialing an entire phone number. This feature can also be helpful during emergencies.
Home Telephone
Call your telephone provider to set up the speed dial feature on your phone.
Dial "*74," press the number on the dial pad you wish to assign a number to and dial the 10-digit phone number.
Wait for a tone to sound. This will confirm that the number has been successfully assigned to speed dial.
Mobile Phone
Go to the "Contacts" menu on your mobile phone, and select a person you wish to add to speed dial.
Open the "Options" menu on his contact information. If your phone has speed dial capabilities, an option for speed dial will appear.
Assign the contact number to one of the number keys, and select "Save."
