How to View a Private Browsing History
By Melody Dawn
Your Internet browsing history is something you may want to keep private. This is especially true when you are using a public computer. When you use the Internet, your browser will track every website you have visited and searched for. Checking your private browsing history may be useful when you want to return to a site you have found useful. If you want to hide your browsing history, you can clear the history from your browser.
Internet Explorer
Double-click on your Internet Explorer browser to open a browser page.
Choose "Tools" from the top left menu items.
Select "Delete Browsing History" from the list of drop down-menu items.
Check all items in the box to completely remove your browsing history. Click "Delete" at the bottom of the box.
Wait for the items to delete from your computer. A window will appear that shows the items being deleted. The window will close when the history is clear.
Firefox
Open your Firefox browser.
Select the "Tools" menu in the upper left of the browser. Choose "Options" from the drop-down menu.
Click on the "Privacy" tab and select "Clear Browsing History." You can change the number of days you wish to delete. Click "OK" at the bottom of the window.
