Printers Compatible With a Dell
By Lee Johnson
Dell was founded in 1984 and has since been producing computers, laptops and printers for users across the world. Printers communicate with your computer through "Drivers," which can be thought of as translators, turning your commands into something the printer understands. Drivers are particular to your operating system (e.g. Windows Vista) and not your laptop. As a result, most printers are compatible with Dell computers, and drivers are often released for unsupported operating systems.

The Dell V313 All-In-One is a printer, scanner and copier, which is manufactured by Dell itself. You can even use the V313, independent of your PC, by printing directly from a memory card. Windows Vista and 7 are supported, and the V313 connects via a USB cable. The printer also features an "Eco" mode, which automatically dims the display screen light after two minutes of idle time, and the printer itself goes into "Power Save" mode if not in use for 10 minutes.
