How to Post Ads
By Lynn Dean
People who have products or services to sell use online classified ads. It’s not just individuals using online ads; major businesses and corporations take advantage of the wide-reaching tool of online advertisement. You don’t need deep pockets to place an ad. Some of the most popular and widely used classified websites offer free listings.
Create an Ad With Adpost
Visit the Adpost website. On the top of the website, click “United States.” The next page will show a range of classified categories, including personals, employment and vehicles.
Click “Post Free Ad,” located on the upper left side of the website. When you do, you’ll see options to log in or register. Select the option for “Click here to register now.”
Fill out the registration form. Enter your name, email, city and state. Select a user name and password. Once you submit the form, you can create your ad. Choose the category in which you want your ad to appear. All replies to your ad are stored in the Adpost inbox messenger and are saved for 30 days.
List With Oodle
Post an ad on Oodle. Click the “Post Free Ad” button on the homepage.
Select the category for your ad. Answer any questions regarding the type of listing. When completed, a “post a listing” screen will appear. You can select whether you want to show your ad to friends only or allow it to be completely public. You can also post the ad on Facebook.
Create your listing. Fill out the description and add a photo if applicable. When finished, select “Not on Facebook” or “Post with Facebook.” If not on Facebook, enter your email and click “Next.” To publish your listing, verify your email by clicking the “Account Verification” email sent to you. For Facebook users, you will list via the Marketplace, where your listing will also appear on your wall and feeds.
Advertise on Craigslist
Select your state and city on Craigslist. Click “Post to Classifieds” on the left side of the page.
Choose the posting type. Next you will choose your posting category. Create your posting title and description. Add your email. Your email will be hidden in your public listing, but will allow replies to be sent to your email address.
