How to Find the Port Number of an Exchange Server
By Suvro Banerji
Exchange administrators assign port numbers to all incoming and outgoing data flow within your Exchange server. You can access these numbers from an administrative tool called Exchange System Manager. This can be found in server computers that have administrative privileges and rights. Note that the port assigned to SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) is typically Port 25.
Log in to a server computer using administrative credentials.
Click "Start," "All Programs," "Microsoft Exchange Server," "Exchange System Manager."
Click "Servername," "Protocols," "SMTP."
Right-click the "Default SMTP Virtual Server" folder. Choose "Properties."
Click "General," "Advanced."
Find the port number listed under "Transmission Control Protocol (TCP)."
