A .zdp file is created and used by Avery DesignPro. This program allows you to customize print jobs for CD covers, mailing envelopes and postcards (just to name a few). In order to open a .zdp file, you need to have Avery DesignPro installed onto your computer. Once it's installed, you shouldn't have any issues launching the saved .zdp file.

Step 1

Click "Start," "All Programs," then select "Avery DesignPro." This opens the DesignPro software on your computer.

Step 2

Click the "File" tab at the top of the screen, then click "Open." A search window appears in the middle of the screen.

Select the .zdp file you want to open and click "Open." The file now opens onto your screen, displaying the Avery DesignPro document.
