When you send a job to the printer, that job goes to a print queue, and each job in that queue is serviced in the order it was received. If you need to remove a job you sent, you can do so as long as it is still in the print queue. Knowing how to open the print queue and check the jobs is important for anyone who uses a printer. With the print queue open, you can easily see which jobs are printing and which ones are waiting to be printed.

Click the "Start" button and select "Printers" or "Printers and Faxes" from the menu. A window opens up showing all the printers you can access.

Double-click the printer whose queue you want to check. A new window opens with a list of current print jobs.

Right-click on any print jobs you want to remove from the queue.

Click "Cancel" to stop the job.
