If you want to update software, order replacement parts or purchase accessories such as a car charger, it's important to know which cellphone model you have. Each Samsung phone includes a small sticker that provides a model code. Depending on your cellphone provider, the model code may be listed as an ESN, HEX or IMEI number. After you locate your model code, you can locate the name of your cellphone model online.

Step 1

Turn off your cellphone and remove the battery cover from the back of it. After removing the cover, remove the battery. You will notice a white sticker that has a HEX, ESN or IMEI model code printed on it. The name of the model code will vary depending on your cellphone provider.

Step 2

Go to the official Samsung website and click the "Support" option at the top of the page. When the product support page opens, you will notice the "Find Your Product" search bar.

Step 3

Enter the model number that is printed on your Samsung phone, then click the blue "Find Product" button that is located to the right of the search bar. The name of your Samsung cellphone model will be listed at the top of the page, as well as a picture of your phone.
