Microsoft Outlook Stopped Auto Populating Addresses

by Jennifer Patterson

Microsoft Outlook has a useful feature that automatically populates suggested email addresses when you are typing an email. This is a convenient feature that prevents you from having to type in email addresses. Type the letter that the email address begins with and a list of email address suggestions are populated. Unfortunately, sometimes this doesn't work correctly when you need it to. You can resolve this problem with a few simple tips.

1

Log into your Microsoft Outlook account. Click on the "Tools" menu. Scroll down to "Options" and click on it.

2

Select and click on "E-Mail Options" and then click on the "Advanced E-mail Options" tab.

3

Enable auto-complete by checking the box next to "Suggest names while completing the To, Cc and Bcc fields." You should also place a check mark in the box next to "Automatic Name Checking." When sending emails, email address should now be automatically populated.
