Making Invitations on Microsoft Word
By Lori Furgerson
Making your own invitation to an event can save you money to put toward the event itself. Often finding the right invitation can take time. Settling for one you don't really love sometimes happens too. Now, make sure you get exactly what you want by making your own invitations at home on your computer. Follow these steps and you will be on your way to throwing a great party.
Go to Microsoft templates Web page. (See Resources.) This is a site with invitation templates.
Scroll through the many pages of invitation templates available.
Place the cursor over the template you want to select and click "Download."
Once the template has been downloaded to your computer, edit the invitation in Microsoft Word with the information for your event.
Insert card stock in printer. Go to the "File" tab and select "Print."
- When looking at the templates, stick with ones labeled Word 2007 versus PowerPoint 2007 so you can use Word to edit them.
