How to Make Ring Tones for a VTech Cordless Phone
By Joanne Cichetti
VTech cordless phones allow you to record your own unique ring tones, which you can use as default ringers or for distinctive tones assigned to specific phone book entries. Although most of the cordless phones by VTech are already equipped with various musical ringer options, such as jazz, R&B and rock, you can record your own to personalize your phone. You can record your own voice clip to add a message for yourself or play a song and record it to use as a ringer.
Select the "Sounds & Alerts" icon on the "Main Menu."
Select the "Sound Clips" icon.
Select the option "Record Clip" from the menu. After you hear a beep, start recording.
Press the "Soft" key when you're done.
Select "Save." Now you will be prompted to enter a name. You can enter up to eight characters. Press "Save" to confirm. The melody will be saved in "My Clips."
