How to Make an MP3 From a YouTube Video
By Erin McManaway
A handful of programs allow you to convert YouTube clips into MP3s. Some require you to purchase software, others require website sign-ups or place limits on the number of files you can convert. But there are a number of websites that offer quick and easy file conversions for free.
Using VidToMP3
Find a non-copyrighted video you would like to convert to a MP3 and copy the webpage's URL from the address bar. You must copy the full URL for this to work.
Go to the VidToMP3 website at http://www.vidtomp3.com. Scroll down past the set of instructions until you find a blank white bar labeled, "Enter video url below."
Paste the URL address of the YouTube video into the white bar, then press the orange "Download" button. Allow the website time to process your video--this usually does not take long.
Click the small blue "Download MP3" link that appears below the white bar. This will take you to the download page.
Click the "Download MP3" button to begin your MP3 download. You also have the option to preview the MP3 directly from the website or share the download page with other people through a provided link.
