How to Make Gaia Online Profiles Using CSS

by Erin McManaway

Gaia Online is an Internet community of interactive online forums. You create and design your own avatar in Gaia Online and can create a profile page for your account. The site allows you to edit the CSS code of your profile page to customize the look and layout to your personal preferences. Members of the community offer free CSS code for your profile, that you can copy and use as provided, or with your own edits.

Navigate to a website that provides free Gaia Online CSS layouts such as Profilebrand, GaiaTools and GaiaHolic.

Select the layout you would like to use and locate the CSS code provided on the website.

Highlight the CSS code, right-click and select “Copy” from the menu.

Log in to your Gaia Online account.

Click “My Gaia” from the top toolbar, then select “Account Settings.”

Click the gear icon and click “Profile Options.”

Right-click in the “Theme Override” text box and select “Paste.” This will place the CSS code in the theme box.

Make any edits to the CSS code that you want, then save the changes. Your profile will now display the CSS code layout from the “Theme Override” text box.
