How to Make a Dell Laptop Screen Larger
By Ryan Menezes
When you increase the resolution of Dell laptops in your office, you enlarge each screen's viewable area. All elements, including text, appear smaller on the screen, which may strain some workers' eyes, but the higher resolution sharpens these elements and lets more fit on the screen at once. This is particularly important when employees use several applications at once. Larger screens also let you view high-resolution images or documents in fullscreen as clearly as possible. A Dell laptop's maximum resolution is its native resolution, the resolution at which it performs best.
Step 1
Click the Start button and type "Resolution" in the search box.
Step 2
Click "Adjust Screen Resolution" in the search results to open the Screen Resolution window.
Step 3
Click "Resolution" to open a drop-down menu.
Step 4
Drag the slider to the top of the menu.
Step 5
Click "OK" to apply the new resolution and open a confirmation dialog box.
Step 6
Click "Keep Changes" to save the new screen size.
